Hello readers,
I just wanted to give you all an update on how things are going, and what to expect moving forward. I’m happy to already have a handful of subscribers after just a couple posts! I hope you are enjoying the game and story.
I’ve decided I need a set schedule for when posts are published and sent out. Considering the length of the chapters and the work going into editing them, I’m planning on sticking to a weekly release every Monday. Expect a new chapter or session of whatever game I’m currently playing to be sent out every Monday. This will be set in stone. They will continue to be under the name, “Playing with Myself.”
To give myself some flexibility, I will also send out a shorter post on Thursdays. These posts will not be part of the ongoing story or campaign but will still be solo-gaming focused. They might be reviews of games I’ve played, news about new solo-games coming out, thoughts about ‘solo-gaming’ in general, etc. They will typically be shorter than the gaming chapters, for quicker reads. These posts will go under the name “Talking Solo with Myself.”
Also, since this is the place where I write stuff, there may be unscheduled, random posts about what I’m currently reading, or watching, or thinking about. These will be called “Talking to Myself”, as they will be more about my life in general and thoughts.
The reason for the different titles is so you need only open the ones you’re interested in. If you’re only interested in the current campaign and story, you can ignore the others. If you’re not interested in the current campaign but are interested in ‘solo-gaming’ in general, keep an eye out for the Thursday posts. And if you want to read everything, even better!
Expect Sanguine Dust, chapter 3 this Monday, with the first “Talking Solo with Myself” post next Thursday.
Please share this with anyone or any online spaces that might be interested in the ‘solo-gaming’ hobby. If you know people who used to play D&D but don’t anymore, pass it along. I appreciate it.
I appreciate everyone who reads this. Leave a comment if you think this is a wonderful or a terrible idea. Or if it’s just okay. Or if you have a question.
