Niv Lova, what is it?
A fully-playable TTRPG, solo or group, based/inspired heavily by Kal Arath, a game created by the extremely talented Castle Grief, set in a wasteland after a mysterious incident decimated the area.
The playtest is a Google Document, nothing fancy. The actual rulebook will be a digital pdf I’m in the process of finalizing on Canva, with art. In terms of a physical zine, I’ve no idea how to lay out or make one but may look into either getting into pdf layout or hiring someone to do so if the interest is there.
Be warned. I don’t have a character sheet yet. You’ll have to make do.
I feel nervous, letting this out into the wild. I’ve spent many, many hours on it and to let others see it is…scary.
Part of me feels like handing out this playtest, which is pretty much fully feature-complete, will reduce sales when I finally release the final product. Another part of me thinks it will increase interest and sales.
Regardless, I want to get the game out there and I’m not doing this for money.
I also have ideas for more content, including sample NPCs, factions and faction generation, ways to make the zone feel more alive, more tables, etc. Whether those make it into the final version or some supplement, I’m unsure.
Anyways, I’m wasting time. Here it is!
If you do check this out and have thoughts, questions, comments, ideas, feedback head over to a brand new discord I just made!
There are channels for feedback, general discussion, ideas, etc. Feel free to join. While the initial reason for making it was wanting a centralized place for Niv Lova feedback, feel free to join and chat about anything PWM-related. Have a question about my Starforged or TYOV playthroughs? Join and ask away!
I will respond and chat as much as I am able.
I have one rule for the discord at the moment:
Everybody plays games. Everybody is allowed to exist and be here. Disrespecting others will not be tolerated.
I hope all can follow a simple rule like that.
Thank you for reading and supporting me. I will note that once Niv Lova is ready for publishing, any Paid Supporters of PWM will receive it for free. It’s the least I can do to those who are supporting me without any incentive.
Good luck in the zone!
